Our Projects & Involvements

Children Education is a national level programme of Care For Life Charitable Trust which provides basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children. Care For Life Charitable Trust believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights, there's no better place to start than in the corridors of education.
Community development is a process whereby community members come together to take collective action and generate solutions to common problems. It adopts a grassroots or a bottom up approach to finding viable solutions by the community for the various issues plaguing it. Participation of the community as a whole has to be an integral part for the programme to be sustainable.
Illiteracy is a major roadblock to development, often resulting in the disempowerment of vulnerable communities. Illiterates are unable to read any signs, health warnings and obtain the benefit of government services and programs. They often fail to see the value of education for their own children resulting in perpetuation of the poverty cycle that afflict most illiterates.

Even after decades of freedom, India is struggling to provide basic health services to its people. According to government sources, in India 45 children die every hour due to respiratory infections. 1 child dies every 2 minutes due to diarrhoea. And annually, about 2 million children under 5 years of age die due to preventable diseases.
The poor people are exploiting by the money lender with high rate of interest, distress sale or mortgaging a valuable or the unripe crop when it is still in the field is the only alternative for a vast majority of the people. The CFLT has focus especially with slums people for self-income generation group, so that the people can meet their financial need.
The Education centre at kirti Nagar provides training for up to 150 children at a purpose built centre in Slum. The centre provides an important supportive environment for the poors to meet and when certain skill levels have been achieved the project provides a Scholarship for further education.

Feeding Program has enabled children living in the Delhi slum to have healthy, bright futures. Through a solid education & two warm meals every day, children on the program have steadily graduated to earn a degree and make a liveable wage for themselves – thus breaking the cycle of poverty in their families.
